NCS’s firm commitment to incorporating the BUD Chemicals and Minerals “Safety Values” in all aspects of its business:

A Disabling Injury (DI) refers to an incident or accident that results in a disability or an employee missing an entire work shift due to an injury. Employees who return to work after sustaining an injury may also be counted as a Restricted Work Injury if they are unable to completely perform their job duties as outlined in their job description.

In 2021 NCS Resins successfully operated all of it’s sites without incurring any disabling or restricted work injuries. The NCS Resins Isipingo site, which is certified as a Major Hazard Installation (MHI) also achieved a 4-year disabling injury-free milestone in August 2021. This outstanding achievement reiterates NCS’s firm commitment to incorporating the BUD Chemicals and Minerals “Safety Values” in all aspects of its business.

Our safety record is something we can all be proud of and something that sets us apart. We will not allow our pride in this achievement turn into complacency and we will not shift our focus from ensuring that work is always carried out in a safe manner, always taking responsibility for our own safety and for that of our colleagues. We will continue to be vigilant in looking out for issues related to safety so that at the end of the day everybody goes home safe.
